Coral Reef Pin

This sea-inspired pin was created with a pure copper wire and a beautiful coral centerpiece. Rows of thinly wrapped wires create a circular design, with inclusions of carnelian. Measures 2" L. Liver of Sulfur is used to create an antique finish. Protected with a thin layer of ProtectaClear to prevent tarnishing.

Coral is found in the sea in waters 20 to 1,000 feet deep and can be traced back all the way to prehistoric times.  Because it is formed by animals, it is one of the only organic gemstones.  People have always treasured coral!  Red coral is thought to be the most valuable.. the deeper the shade, the better.
