Chalcedony Fearless Necklace

This necklace features beautifully crafted silver loop components, delicately holding 12 drops of chalcedony.  Everything is hand-done, including the sterling silver chain holding the piece together. The necklace measures 21" long but can be adjusted to any shorter length.  The wire-worked center measures 3 1/2".

Chalcedony was given its name from the ancient Greek town Chalcedon, located in Asia Minor. The stone is found worldwide and is actually a term for a group of stones made from a microcrystalline variety of quartz. This means that the quartz crystals are too small to be seen without a high magnification present. Because chalcedony covers a broad expanse of quartz gemstones, this stone comes in an array of beautiful colors and forms.
