Cosmic Ammonite Necklace

Cosmic Ammonite Necklace is handcrafted out of pure copper wire. The pendant measures 2 1/2" long and is a little more than 1" wide. The pendant is made of Ammonite, which is a fossil that is believed to be over 1,000 years old. The necklace measures 23" long. Liver of Sulfer is used to create an antique finish. Also protected with a thin layer of ProtectaClear to prevent tarnishing.

Ammonites were sea creatures that were close relatives of today's octopuses and squids, though they lived inside shells. This shell was made from the mineral aragonite, a shiny material that pearls are also made from. These animals died out 66 million years ago!
