Graceful Garnet Necklace

Made with Sterling Silver, this necklace was created using some of my favorite techniques: including the herringbone stitch. All nine, grade-A garnet stones are wrapped delicately around the centerpiece to create the body of the necklace. Overall, it measures 22" L, but can be adjusted to any shorter length. The middle component measures 2" L. Liver of sulfur is used to create an antique finish.

Get to Know Your Stone: 

This stone is believed to be a spiritual stone of self-empowerment, originally found in the ruins of Ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt. Because of the myths surrounding the stone, garnet is often worn for good luck. It is also known to be the birthstone for those born in the month of January.
