Hessonite Treasure Necklace

Hand-crafted silver chain with inclusions of wire-wrapped silver seed beads. The focal point consists of 10 radially positioned hessonite garnet stones. Necklace measures 24 1/2" long but can be adjusted to any shorter length. Pendant stretches 2" wide. Liver of Sulfur is used to create an antique finish.

Hessonite garnet is known for it's reddish to warm yellow tones, similar to other popular stones. It has been nicknamed the "Cinnamon stone," not only because of it's warm colors but due to its origin. This stone was first discovered in Sri Lanka, the land of spices. Though Hessonite is commonly mined in Sri Lanka, it is also dug in India, Myanmar, and Brazil.
