Iolite Wings Earrings

Handcrafted out of Sterling Silver wire.  These wing earrings are made using small Iolite faceted beads.  Measures 2 inches long.  French wire.  Liver of Sulfur is used to create an antique finish.

Iolite is a popular gem deriving its name from the Greek word for "violet".  It is thought to remove negative addictions from the wearer and promotes detoxification and improves degenerated conditions of the liver.  Most Iolite gemstones are mined in India but some come from Australia, Brazil, or Madagascar.  It is rumored that Viking navigators used slices of Iolite to help reduce glare when they were at sea.
