Turquoise May Flower Necklace

Hand-crafted vintage copper chain with a centerpiece that is hand coiled and woven. A prong-setting securely holds a half-inch long turquoise stone. Necklace measures 18 3/4". The wire flower measures 1 1/2". Liver of Sulfur is used to create an antique finish. Protected with a thin layer of ProtectaClear to prevent tarnishing.

Turquoise is thought to be one of the first gemstones ever mined, dating back to 6000 BC. Praised for its beautiful color and unique marble-like pattern, the Ancient Egyptians had used turquoise for thousands of years for jewelry and other forms of ornamentation.
